    REQUIREMENT

Parks Canada Agency (PCA) is creating an accessible, multiuse 12 kilometre trail in Rouge National Urban Park connecting existing trails in the Pickering area of the park. This trail will be a part of the park’s North East Trail that allows visitors to move from Toronto to York and Durham and will connect to other regional and municipal trail systems when complete. This trail will involve applying granular, limestone, and geogrid to form the trail base, which will mostly be on the edges of farm fields, including some natural and forested areas. Boardwalk components will be made of fibreglass, which is more durable than wood, and will allow for less frequent maintenance.

See specifications and drawings for further details on the requirement of this project.

To assist with bonding and insurance requirements, this project is estimated at a value between $1,000,001 > $5,000,000, Taxes extra.
