Request for Proposals (RFP) – Public Notice – RFP Telecommunications Services

RFP Scope: 

FCC is seeking carrier(s) to ensure delivery of Wide Area Network (WAN) services for all FCC facilities across Canada, our Data Centers, and our public cloud environments. WAN services include the provisioning, monitoring, and management of data networks that interconnect FCC’s offices and data centers. Specifically, FCC is seeking proposals on the following: 

• MPLS 

• Internet connections 

• Associated services 

FCC requires one carrier to provide MPLS across all FCC locations. FCC’s preference would be for the same carrier to provide Internet for all locations; however, Proponents can submit proposals to provide Internet in specific provinces. This RFP will result in new agreement(s) with Proponent(s) to provide, manage, and invoice for MPLS and Internet services for FCC.

• RFP issue date: Feb 26, 2021 

• Vendor questions accepted until: Mar 15, 2021 at 2:00PM* 

• RFP closing date and time: Apr 20, 2021 at 2:00 PM*

*Central Standard Time (CST)- Saskatchewan, Canada Time zone 

RFP Process Considerations: 

 Vendors should note that: 

• this opportunity notice references a non-binding, competitive RFP, not a call for tenders. FCC is not obligated to proceed with the work described in the RFP scope, and may cancel the RFP at any time. 

• FCC’s procurement process allows for negotiation between FCC and one or more vendors, prior to awarding a contract.
