Description
The current industry membership of the Marine Industry Advisory Committee (MIAC) will be extended by 12 months until April 2022. This decision was made and approved by the Chair and membership as a result of delays and meeting cancellation caused by COVID-19. New members will be selected in early 2022 by random draw. An announcement will be posted on Buy & Sell requesting nominations.
The MIAC membership is comprised of permanent Government representatives from PSPC, DND, CCG, TC, RCMP and ISED as well as six Canadian Marine Associations from all regions across Canada. The Marine industry is represented through two companies in the Repair, Refit and Maintenance sector, two In-Service Support companies, two companies in Small Vessel Construction, one Supply Chain company and one Naval Architecture and Engineering company.
