Description
The Department of Natural Resources Canada (NRCan) has a requirement to explore the development and use of geospatial standards-based solutions to improve disaster support activities the department undertakes. The overall objective is to improve the flow of geospatial information used to support disaster management activities in Canada.
The work will involve development, and where possible, use of geospatial standards-based approaches to improve flows of geospatial information throughout the stages of NRCan disaster support activities. Work will be completed in the context of a flood scenario for the Red River, Manitoba.
