Paint work, Levis radar tower

Work Description

The work covered by this contract to redo the exterior layer (2 coats) including the preparation of concrete surfaces over the entire height of the Lévis radar tower. The work covered in this project also include the supply of all materials, labor, tools, lifting equipment, scaffolding, services, protection and transportation necessary for the performance of the work in accordance with the requirements specified in the various sections of the specifications and other attached documents.

Painting work on the exterior layer of the radar tower include, but not limited to, the completion of the following main tasks:

1. Site visit and taking of exact measurements, before the start of work;
2. Produce the necessary scaffolding plans and drawings to perform the work, and have them approved by an engineer recognized in Quebec. Provide them to the Ministry representative;
3. Apply for street closure requests to the city of Lévis and / or provide signage according to the requirements of the municipality, if necessary;
4. Provide the work methods, the health and safety plan and any other document necessary and required in the specifications;
5. Provide and install the necessary protective elements to protect the layer from bad weather, as well as the protection of surrounding buildings;
6. Perform the preparation of concrete surfaces on the entire concrete radar tower;
7. Repair surface cracks on the concrete layer with a high strength cementitious product, where required;
8. Apply the coatings recommended in this specification to the entire concrete radar tower;
9. Request and obtain final approval of the work from the designated Technical Authority .

Length of Work

The Contractor must perform and complete all Work by September 24, 2021. See specifications for the project milestones.
