    1. Context :

    The Department of Fisheries and Oceans Canada (DFO) wishes to proceed with the installation of charging stations for electric vehicles on a site it owns: the Maurice Lamontagne Institute. Located in Mont-Joli, Quebec, on the shores of the St. Lawrence Estuary, the Maurice Lamontagne Institute is one of the world's leading francophone marine science research centers.

    2. Description of the work

    2.1 The objective of the project is to make electrical recharging accessible for government vehicles as well as for the vehicles of the Institute's employees and / or visitors.

    2.2 The project consists of the installation of four charging stations (level II) for electric vehicles in the public parking area.

    2.3 It is anticipated that the construction work will include the necessary infrastructure to accommodate the addition of future charging stations to allow the project to expand as required.

    2.3.1 Without being limiting, the work includes primarily the following by discipline:

    • Electrical: Provide and install all necessary infrastructure and connect the electrical charging stations provided by the Owner, as described in the plans and specifications.
    • Civil: Supply and install all necessary infrastructure and install the electrical charging stations provided by the Owner as described in the plans and specifications.

    Construction time:

    Contractor must begin at contract award date and all work must be completed by November 19, 2021. See specifications for the project milestones.

    Security Requirements: There is no security requirement for this project

    Site visit : Optional site visit will take place on July 15, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. EDT (Eastern daylight time ) located at the Maurice Lamontagne Institute 850, route de la Mer, Mont-Joli, Quebec. Confirmation required for July 12, 2021 at 4:00 p.m. for this site visit.
