PRINTING AND BINDERS SERVICES FOR CANADIAN NATIONAL MODEL CONSTRUCTION CODES

To procure the services of a binder manufacturer for the Canadian National Model Construction Codes, to print using a 4 colour process right onto vinyl. This supplier must offer a printed product (printed 4 colours right onto vinyl) of superior quality.

The Canadian Commission on Building and Fire Codes is responsible for the development of the National Model Construction Codes. NRC publishes and distributes the Codes as well as some provincial codes. The National Model Construction Codes are available in printed and electronic format. The printed format is available in binder format and a supplier is required to provide the service of printing the various cover designs onto binders that it supplies. These binders will be required to withstand rigorous in-field usage.

A new edition of the following Canadian Codes is published, in both French and English, approximately every five years (the following list is subject to change over the years):

• National Building Code (NBC)
• National Plumbing Code (NPC)
• National Fire Code (NFC)
• National Energy Code for Buildings (NECB)
• Quebec Construction Code
• Quebec Plumbing Code
• Quebec Safety Code
• Quebec Energy Code
• Additional blank binders (not printed) will be required on demand for purchase with front, back and spine pockets (to be inserted by NRC). These binders will require the same components and sizes as the printed version.
