    Description of Work:

    Background

    Networks and Security Services (NSS) Branch within Shared Services Canada (SSC) is responsible for the provision of service management, operations, projects, as well as the design and planning of the Government of Canada’s (GC) network infrastructure within the mandate of SSC.

    NSS is responsible for the planning, design and operations of the Government of Canada (GC) IT network infrastructure, and the management of cyber and IT security services that protects GC data and technology assets. NSS is also mandated to support enhanced network services designed to improve collaboration, and capacity at the enterprise level, while delivering improved value for Canadian taxpayers.

    The Service Operations team within SSC’s Network Operations Division is responsible for Domain Name Service (DNS), Dynamic host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) and Internet Protocol Address Management (IPAM) Foundational Services, as well as Telecom Room Management. Note that DDI stands for DNS, DHCP and IPAM.

    Service Operations works collaboratively with many service lines including Network Engineering, Network Operations, Product Management, Security Engineering, Infrastructure Security Operations, and Cloud Services, in order to transform and modernize the SSC DDI and Network Time Protocol (NTP) infrastructure.

    Scope of Work

    Shared Services Canada (SSC), has a requirement for professional services on a “as and when required basis” for services provided by a Technology Architect – Level 3 in the DDI domain. Service Operations requires a Technology Architect – Level 3 to provide additional capacity to the existing team to assist in the execution of projects to modernize the SSC DDI infrastructure.

    Bidders must submit one (1) resource against this category.
