    Title: Grande-Entrée – Paving & Concrete– Service Area

    Scope of Work/Deliverables:

    The paving and fiber reinforced concrete slab construction Work at the fishing harbour of Grande-Entrée in the Magdalen Islands Region consist, without limitation to:

    1. The recovery and grading of in place granular materials of the Access Road of Grande-Entrée Harbour.
    2. Channel cleaning in work area
    3. Grading and compacting of granular base
    4. Rebuilding rolling surface (approx.. 9,1m x 200m) with 65 mm ESG-14.
    5. Supply of materials, equipment and labor for the construction of the 200 mm fiber-reinforced concrete slab, all according to the indications on drawings and specifications, including saw cuts @ 4,500mm max and a depth of 70 mm.
    6. The supply and installation of concrete curbs in a section of Works

      Supply of equipment and installation of adequate road signs to ensure protection during work and curing of the fiber-reinforced concrete slab.

      Work site location: Fishing Harbour of Grande-Entrée – Magdalen Islands

      FAMILIARIZATION WITH SITE

      Before submitting a bid, bidders can visit the site and its surroundings, at their own expense and schedule, to review and verify the form, nature, and extent of the work, materials needed for the completion of the work, the means of access to the site, site remoteness, severity, exposure, and uncertainty of weather, soil conditions, any accommodations they may require, and in general shall obtain all necessary information as to risks, contingencies, and other circumstances which may influence or affect their bid. No allowance shall be made subsequently in this connection on account or error or negligence to properly observe and determine the conditions that will apply.

      Contractors, bidders, or those they invite to site are to review specification Section 01 35 29 – Health and Safety Requirements before visiting site. Take all appropriate safety measures for any visit to site, either before or after acceptance of bid.

      Expected Start and Completion Dates

      The services of the Contractor will be commencing on Contract award. The expected completion date of this project is November 5th, 2021.
