Description
The foundation and steel platform work for the satellite antenna at the Sainte-Flavie site includes, but is not limited to, the completion of the following main tasks:
- Produce and have the CCG approve the shop drawings and the technical data sheets of the elements to be supplied by the Contractor;
- Visit the site and take exact measurements, before the start of work, if deemed necessary;
- Locate underground installations (coaxial cables, grounding, power supply, and others);
- Deforest, clear and locally grub the existing vegetation in the work area and identified in the contractual drawings and the guidelines of the specifications document;
- Excavate the soil with appropriate equipment at the locations provided for the new foundations, the transmission line bridge, and the grounding system.
- Clear all the underground antenna cables, the beaconing and power supply cables present, between the GCC building and the pylon, and protect them for the duration of the work. The Contractor shall coordinate with the CCG technicians for this stage of the work, so that they are present to ensure the safety of the cables.
- If there are existing structures (shelters, pylon, fence, others) near the excavations, the Contractor shall design, supply and install all the elements necessary for the stabilization of the walls and the shoring of those elements as needed (if applicable);
- Transport the excavated materials off the property, to a place provided for this purpose, in compliance with all applicable regulations in force;
- The Contractor shall coordinate with the geotechnical laboratory hired by the CCG, to carry out verifications of the following works: validate the excavation bottoms before pouring, carry out tests on the poured concrete and recover samples in order to carry out tests according to the requirements of the specifications document;
- Construct all new reinforced concrete foundations for the new satellite antenna as well as for the transmission line bridge;
- Supply and install the grounding according to the requirements of the drawings. Connect to the existing grounding system of the shelter and the site according to the recommendations and contractual drawings, as well as the Electrical Code;
- Supply and install the transmission line bridge between the cable entry of the telecommunication shelter and the new satellite antenna, as well as to the VHF pylon according to the drawings;
- Supply and install the steel platform for the satellite antenna. All the elements and details necessary for the fabrication of the steel platform are provided in the list of drawings QE21800-09217;
- Relocate the entrance to the pylon fence as shown in the drawings. Provide all the material necessary for this work.
- The antenna cables will be replaced following the work carried out by the Contractor, so the Contractor will not have to install the antenna cables in the new line bridge.
- Protect the access path and restore it to its original state when required. If necessary add compacted granular material MG-20 so that the path is well passable and free of any ruts. Restore to original state at the end of the work;
- Provide materials and backfill the excavations according to the stratigraphy shown on the contract drawings;
- Complete the finishing of the landscaped area of the entire work area. The finishing coat must be placed so as to develop a drainage slope of 2% going to the outside of the facilities and the site;
- Restore the telecommunications site to original state, including areas damaged during the work and access roads, when required;
- Request and obtain from the CCG a final acceptance of the work;
- Annotate the project drawings and provide DWG drawings "as built"
