RFP: Training to support the understanding, implementation and ongoing conformance to ISO/IEC 17025

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) has adopted conformance to the international standard ISO/IEC 17025 General requirements for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories as a requirement for laboratories, including CFIA laboratories, producing results for the use of the CFIA. This conformance is demonstrated by accreditation to this standard. All CFIA laboratories are accredited, and therefore, must as required by the standard, provide training in the management and general technical elements of the Standard. This training must be available to all laboratory staff. Currently there are gaps in the availability of necessary training among CFIA labs, and the purchase of a readily available, web-based training product will help address these gaps. 

The service provider must offer the benefit of access to its courses at as and when required CFIA staff take advantage of this and organize taking the course in conjunction with their work schedules Therefore, there is no timeframe for the delivery of the courses.
