Description: The Government Of Canada (GOC) intends and this specification covers the removal of lead-contaminated materials from the Fire Arms Range at the GOC RCMP Training Academy in Regina, Saskatchewan. The project will entail the removal of all lead-contaminated materials located within the facility. In general, the project involves the following:
- Removal and decontamination/disposal ballistic panels that carry into the trap mouth. Ammunition rounds may be trapped and lead contaminated dust may be may be present on the ballistic panels that must be removed.
- Clean up of all remaining areas / surfaces of the Fire Arms Range. Clean-up will include all surfaces within the occupied area of the bullet trap and service space. Clean-up will be completed before and after removal of the steel trap. HEPA vacuuming as well as wet wiping / mopping of all surfaces to ensure all residual lead dust has been sufficiently removed.
- Removal of lead contamination from the steel surface of the bullet trap, sufficient for the steel to be recycled. Similarly, removal of lead sludge and waste from water/glycol reservoir attached to the trap and related items. The intent would be to remove a sufficient amount of lead from the steel trap that it will be acceptable to steel recycler and to mitigate health risks to the contractor who will be dismantling the trap to remove it.
Delivery Date: Expected Work could take place between August and December 2022.
Security: There is a security requirement associated with the requirement.
The Request for Proposal (RFP) is distributed to the EW479-162880 Hazardous Waste Disposal Services Supply Arrangement (SA) holders that are qualified for work in Saskatchewan.
This requirement is open to the following companies who qualified under the stated stream and region:

- Terrapure (EW479-162880/011/NCS)

The RFP document will be e-mailed directly, from the contracting officer, to the qualified supply arrangement holders who are being invited to bid on this requirement.
