Description
The Department of Women and Gender Equality Canada has a requirement for the supply of its own instance of a digital learning management system/solution (LMS), in accordance with GCWeb standards:
- Standard on Web Accessibility
- Standard on Web Interoperability
- Standard on Web Accessibility
The system must allow the organization to meet program delivery staff learning requirements in a manner that aligns with available resources for training development and delivery, while mitigating risks known to the G&Cs management business.
Brightspace (D2L) is available in both official languages and is the only vendor of record with the Federal Government, whose platform for learning is currently used at other Government of Canada Departments. WAGE (and other GoC Department’s) will then be able to synchronize both their Departmental and CSPS learning requirements.
In addition, D2L Corporation and its subsidiaries are the sole source for the Brightspace learning platform. Brightspace cloud services are provided exclusively by D2L and can be procured only from D2L or its authorized channel reseller partners.
