Description
In order to meet its operational requirements, the Office of the Secretary to the Governor General (OSGG), has an immediate requirement to obtain the services of an accredited classification Consultants, referred herein as Contractor, to provide classification support services to the Office.
The OSGG is a federal government department that supports the Governor General in delivering her mandate and in fulfilling her constitutional, state, ceremonial and other traditional responsibilities.
The OSGG is also responsible for planning and implementing the Governor General’s program and the many activities she undertakes with, and on behalf of, Canadians in communities across the country and abroad, as well as with the Canadian Forces as Commander-in-Chief. These activities serve to recognize outstanding achievement and the pursuit of excellence by Canadians, and to foster national identity, unity and pride. They also promote Canadian values such as respect for diversity, community participation and public education.
The OSGG is comprised of four (4) branches: Policy, Program and Protocol; the Chancellery of Honours; Human Resources; and Corporate Services and has approximately 180 full-time equivalent (FTE)’s.
The Contractor will be required to perform all functions in support of classification, on an as and when required basis. The Contractor must provide assistance to both OSGG Managers and Human Resource (HR) professionals and will tasked to undertake a variety of projects both at a corporate and operational level in support of departmental human resource objectives, including Program and Administrative Services (PA) group conversion exercise.
The Office currently has approximately 140 positions within the PA group (both vacant and encumbered).
Bidders must submit a bid for all resource categories.
Similar services are not being currently provided or has there been within the past 12 months an incumbent delivering any services similar to or identical to those being solicited in this RFP.
