    Description

The RFI is related to the new Justice Data Modernization Initiative (JDMI). Under the JDMI, the Department of Justice Canada is commissioning and conducting data science and quantitative research that supports action to address the overrepresentation of Indigenous, Black and racialized people in the criminal justice system. This includes inter-sectoral research that will provide an understanding of the role that all social sectors can play in supporting well-being and reducing criminalization.

The RFI asks researchers and organizations to comment on two draft Statement of Works (SOWs) and Evaluation Criteria under the JDMI that relate to two potential requirements – one for quantitative research services, and one for data science services. Feedback can be shared on either or both requirements.

The feedback received from this RFI will inform a Request for Standing Offer (RFSO) procurement process to be launched in fall 2022. Receiving feedback via this RFI from researchers and organizations is important in ensuring the Department of Justice Canada is able to efficiently access the expertise needed to conduct important research under the JDMI.

Responses to the RFI are to be sent via email to: Kayla.Pordonick@justice.gc.ca
