    DFO requires one (1) 10.10 Technical Writer, Senior level under the Supply Arrangement for TSPS.

    2.2 Tasks, Activities, Deliverables and Milestones

    The following deliverables may be provided using MS Word, Power Point, Excel and MS Outlook formats.

    1. Marine Conservation Operational Policy

      A1. Marine Conservation Operational Policy Projects

      Deliverable: Research, analysis, advice, policy and public document design, writing and editing support on a range of marine conservation operational policy topics, such as protection standards for federal MPAs and marine other effective area-based conservation measures, site prioritization and instrument choice for marine conservation and the development of marine conservation ecological risk management guidance.

    2. Marine Conservation Operations

      B1.  Technical National Report on MPA Effectiveness

      Deliverable: Copy editing services for ongoing work on a background report, evaluation framework, and other related documents associated with an Oceans Act MPA Management Effectiveness initiative.

      Marine Environmental Quality (MEQ)

      C1. MEQ Policy Development

      Deliverable: Writing and editing support for MEQ Policy documents related to the Ocean Noise Strategy (e.g, Draft Ocean Noise Strategy report and recommendations) and guidance for MEQ management measure development, including an update to the Canadian Statement of Practice on the Mitigation of Seismic Sound in the Marine Environment (spring 2022 – winter 2023).

      C2. MEQ: Public Announcements

      Deliverable: Writing and editing support for the development of public information on the Marine Environmental Quality management program, including: public program communique, fact sheets on various MEQ national and regional initiatives to establish management measures including an update to the Canadian Statement of Practice on the Mitigation of Seismic Sound in the Marine Environment, Ocean Noise Strategy report composition and addressing comments, public updates and engagement materials (spring 2022 – winter 2023).

    1. MPC Engagement and Outreach

    D1. Engagement and Outreach Strategies, Planning, Project Design

    Deliverable: Research, analysis, advice, writing and editing support for the development of public information strategies and products on a range of marine conservation policy topics (2022 and 2023).

    1. Inuit Impact and Benefit Agreements (IIBA)

    E1. IIBA approaches, research, document preparation

    Deliverable: research, advice, document development and editing to support the advancement of IIBA negotiations and finalized agreements with Inuit partners for meeting the marine conservation target by 2025. The objective is to have an Agreement in principle of the IIBA, and final drafts of other agreements by the end of September 2022.
