    This requirement is for: The Correctional Service of Canada, Atlantic Institution, Renous NB

    Trade agreement: This procurement is not subject to any trade agreement.

    Tendering procedures: All interested suppliers may submit a bid.

    Competitive Procurement Strategy: lowest priced compliant bid.

    Comprehensive Land Claim Agreement: This procurement is not subject to a Comprehensive Land Claims Agreement.

    Security Requirements: This contract does not include security requirements.

    Nature of Requirements:

    The following is a summary of the statement of work for this requirement.

    The Correctional Service Canada has a requirement to provide skilled licensed personnel to provide pest control services.

    Objectives:

    The Contractor must provide services to eliminate existing pest problems and provide recommendations regarding prevention.

    • The Contractor must provide monthly inspections of all structures and ground areas within the Institution.
    • The Contractor must provide preventative maintenance to prevent re-infestation including the setting of a minimum of 40 bait stations on the outside perimeter.
    • The Contractor must provide a minimum of 15 interior inspection devices including but not limited to, gold sticks, fly lights, glue boards, fruit fly bait stations devices, ant traps.
    • The Contractor must provide extermination of bees, wasps, and hornets nests when required.
    • The Contractor must provide removal of forestry and domestic animals.
    • The Contractor must provide exterior treatment twice per year as determined by project authority.
    • The Contractor must be available 24 hour a day, 7 days a week for emergency services. The Contractor must provide a valid emergency contact number to the Chief Material Management.
    • The Contractor must respond to emergency calls within eight (8) hours. Service outside of regular working hours will be paid at the quoted emergency call rate indicated in the Basis of Payment.
    • The Contractor must be licensed in the Province of New Brunswick and must use only those products that fall under the Pest Control Product Act. The Contractor must provide a copy of the licence to the Contract Authority.
    • The Contractor must give a minimum of two hours notice to the Chief Material Management prior to pesticide application if evacuation is required and provide a safe return time for any closed structure, office or building.
    • The Contractor must supply all personnel, tools, equipment and supplies required to perform the work. The Contractor must list all tools, equipment and supplies on the tool registry before being processed into the Institution.
    • All pesticides the Contractor uses must comply with the Federal Pest Control Products Act. The Contractor must ensure all pesticides are applied by a duly licensed operator.

    Deliverables:

    • The Contractor must provide a written report of all scheduled and unscheduled inspections to the Chief, Material Management listing the services provided and any areas where changes could be made that would eliminate existing pest problems and recommendations on improving cleanliness standards. The written report must include the pest control product number of products applied.
    • The Contractor must supply up-to-date safety data sheets (SDS) as per workplace

    Hazardous Material Information System (WHMIS) for all chemicals prior to using them on site.

    • The Contractor must provide monthly inspections to all structures and ground areas within the Institution.

    Any conditions for participation of suppliers not specified in solicitation documentation: none.

    Duration of Contract and Time Frame for Delivery: Period of the Contract: The Work is to be performed during the period of April 1, 2023 to March 31, 2024 with the option to renew for four (4) additional one-year periods.
