Description of Work:
Within the Department of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development, the Corporate Planning, Finance and Information Technology Branch (SCM), is responsible for providing enabling services to the department, including Financial Planning and Management, Financial Operations, Grants and Contributions Management for International Development Peace and Security Programming, Information Management and Technology, Domestic Accommodations and Real Property, as well as Corporate Planning, Performance and Risk Management.
As such, SCM plays a key role in ensuring the effectiveness of the financial and grants and contributions management, especially with regards to International Development, Peace and Security Programming, reporting on the international assistance spend, measuring performance on key programs, ensuring that Canada is achieving the desired outcomes through its grants and contributions programs, and providing the enabling technologies and services to achieve the above objectives.
Within the above context, SCM is looking to leverage leading practices and technologies, such as analytics and robotics and international automation to enable sound financial management and reporting. In order to meet SCM’s needs, the professional services of Business Consultants are required to perform various solutions-based tasks to support SCM program delivery and to assist in the planning, preparation, execution, and management in order to facilitate achieving service strategy goals, ensuring the following is achieved/provided.
