    Description

Description: Development of a guidance document that operationalizes Integrated Youth Services models, including best practices to ensure evidence-based, high-quality, timely service and improves the current fragmentation of physical health, mental health, and substance use health services for youth and young adults.

The guidance will also include content to:

    • address the lack of connection with physical health, sexual health, and social services that lead to long wait times and the processes between request and access to services.
    • incorporate anti-racism, stigma free, and health equity best practices.

    Justification for the Pre-Identified Supplier:

Through its engagement and leadership within the Federation of Integrated Youth Services Networks (FIYSN), Foundry possesses existing resources required for this work, including:

    • widely recognized as a leading model of integrated youth services (IYS) in Canada and abroad.
    • Facilitation of a network of 14 IYS centres (soon to be 23) and a provincial virtual service.
    • Development of a vast library of intellectual property including service and practice standards and guidelines, model implementation guides, education and training materials and other resources and tools to both guide and enable the delivery of a high quality, evidence-based integrated model of care.
    • Co-stewards the Federation of Integrated Youth Services Networks; facilitates the mobilization Foundry and IYS best practices across Canada to support the meaningful use of evidence and expertise to align research, policy and practice in order to improve health and social outcomes for youth and young adults.

This is a notification to suppliers that for the reasons outlined above and sufficient qualifications, SCC will be initiating a contract with Foundry to complete this work. Parties interested in disputing this initiative may submit a statement clearly demonstrating their reasons for dispute on or before the closing date of this ACAN.
