Nature of Requirements: 

The Department of National Defence (DND) has identified a requirement for Repair and Overhaul (R&O) services for the Leopard 2 Main Battle Tank (MBT) Chassis Mechanical and Hydraulic Components.

The Contractor must provide Repair and Overhaul (R&O) including, but not limited to: inspection, disassembly, repair, reassembly, testing, use of Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) parts, packaging, technical data management, integrated logistics and maintenance support, labour and materials on an as and when required basis for all items listed.

The period of performance will be for a duration of three (3) firm years from the date of contract award with an option to extend the period of performance by three (3) additional one (1) year periods

The requirement is subject to the provisions of the World Trade Organization Agreement on Government Procurement (WTO-AGP), the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA), and the Agreement on Internal Trade (AIT). 

This requirement falls within the framework of the Defence Procurement Strategy announced on February 5, 2014, therefore, the Industrial and Technological Benefits (ITB) with Value Proposition (VP) will not be applied.

This procurement is subject to the Controlled Goods Program. The Defence Production Act defines Canadian Controlled Goods as certain goods listed in Canada's Export Control List, a Regulation made pursuant to the Export and Import Permits Act (EIPA).
