Nature of Requirements: 

The Government of Canada is in the process of reviewing technologies for protection against kinetic energy threats. The Government of Canada will be assessing the performance and features of various categories of potential Add on Armour solutions. The intent is for the provision of the Add on Armour (AOA) Panels for testing and option analysis purposes as a result to gain a better understanding of the current state of the existing technology.

A minimum of three (3) Add on Armour panels will be purchased on award of contract that meet or exceed the Mandatory Technical Requirements, as identified in Annex “A” - Statement of Work. Additional Add on Armour panels (maximum of ten (10) in total) that meet or exceed the Mandatory Technical Requirements may be purchased as and when required.

Canada requires a variety of categories of potential AOA solutions and therefore as an option to purchase, Canada may procure (maximum of ten) Add on Amour panels that meet the Optional Technical Requirements, as and when required, as identified in Annex “A” - Statement of Work.

Suppliers are invited to submit more than one AOA panel solution provided that they meet the minimum technical required specifications, as such; there is no constraint on the amount of submissions from a single contractor.

Multiple contracts may be awarded as a result of this RFP.
