Get more details on the Government of Canada Web site: https://buyandsell.gc.ca/procurement-data/tenders/follow-opportun ities#20 TITLE: Fabrication of Prototype Low Burden Chemical Biological Combat Uniform REQUIREMENT: Defence Research and Development Canada (DRDC) - Suffield, Medicine Hat, Alberta has a requirement for a contractor to produce one hundred (100) Mark IV low burden CB protective combat uniforms in accordance with Crown specifications and coordinate fabric and full system testing of this advanced concept in consultation with the Crown, all in accordance with the Statement of Work, Annex "A". The requirement is limited to Canadian goods and/or services. MANDATORY CRITERIA: Mandatory Criteria at Solicitation Closing Failure to meet any of the following mandatory requirements at solicitation closing will render the submission non-compliant and given no further consideration. 1 Contractor must have acted in the role of prime contractor for a major protective fabric and garment design project. 2 Contractor must have expertise in coating technologies, lamination technologies and chemical and or biological and or environmental barrier textiles used in the design, development and manufacture of specialised protective equipment for defence applications. 3 Contractor must have the expertise and capability to coat and laminate a wide variety of natural and synthetic woven, non-woven and knitted textiles, and combine these into multi-layer systems and or multi-laminates. 4 Contractor must have access to expanded polytetrafluoroethylene (ePTFE) membrane. technology; be able to vary the air permeability and thickness of the ePTFE membrane; and have the expertise and capability to laminate ePTFE membrane to fabrics. 5 Contractor must have experience developing and producing complex garment systems that incorporate multiple fabric systems (multi-layered systems and or multi-laminate systems) and multiple closure systems. 6 Contractor must have access to supplies of specialised fabric/materials and be able to order and take delivery of such materials in a timely fashion. 7 Price Proposal must not exceed the established budget. CONTRACTOR SELECTION: Contractor selection will be based on the bidder that submits the highest technically acceptable proposal provided that the total evaluated bid price does not exceed the established budget. OWNERSHIP OF INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY: Contractor Owned MAXIMUM FUNDING: The maximum funding available for the Contract resulting from the bid solicitation is $310,000.00 (Applicable Taxes extra, as appropriate). Bids valued in excess of this amount will be considered non-responsive. This disclosure does not commit Canada to pay the maximum funding available.
