Trade Agreement: Agreement on Internal Trade (AIT) Tendering Procedures: All interested suppliers may submit a bid Competitive Procurement Strategy: Comprehensive Land Claim Agreement: No Nature of Requirements: EMERGENCY MEDIAL SUPPORT - RALSTON, ALBERTA The DRDC (Defence Research and Development Canada), Suffield Research Centre (SRC) Field Operations Section (FOS) carries out an extensive field test program that involves the use of hazardous materials and oversees a counter-terrorism training program involving the use of Chemical Warfare Agents (CWA). In addition, DRDC Suffield is conducting operations that involve extensive waste segregation and disposal of CWA contaminated waste and performing environmental remediation of legacy trial sites that are potentially contaminated with CWA. DRDC Suffield safety policies mandate that on-site emergency medical personnel are in attendance during these field tests and training programs. Emergency response team members must be able to provide breathing assistance with oxygen support. To provide optimal safety and immediate emergency response, DRDC Suffield Research Centre utilizes properly trained employees as first-on-scene responders to provide medical aid and initial decontamination of casualties. To provide optimal medical care these employees need to be adequately trained in assisted ventilation with oxygen supplementation. This contract will provide the required level of first aid certification toenable employee emergency responders to assess the casualty health status and if needed provide assisted ventilation with oropharyngeal airway placement and oxygen supplementation. The estimated period of the contract is 2017-04-01 to 2020-03-31. There are security requirements associated with this requirement. For more information on personnel and organization security screening or security clauses, Bidders should refer to the Industrial Security Program (ISP) of Public Works and Government Services Canada (http://ssi-iss.tpsgc-pwgsc.gc.ca/index-eng.html) website.
