IMPORTANT NOTICE TO SUPPLIERS RE: OFFER SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS

Due to the impacts from the COVID-19 pandemic, temporary measures are being taken on-site at the Western Region Bid Receiving Unit to encourage social distancing. The health and safety of staff and suppliers remains our top priority. 

Suppliers are required to submit offers electronically using the Canada Post epost Connect application for the subject offer solicitation. This service allows suppliers to submit bids, offers and arrangements electronically to PWGSC Bid Receiving Units. This online service enables the electronic transfer of large files up to Protected B level.

The National Research Council of Canada (NRC) wants to expand the field of Agri-Food related research and add capacity for studying flavour aspects of pulse ingredients.  Capacity is also required in the spot analysis for the food industry.  Additionally, new capacity is required for determining the diversity in existing germplasms and effect of genetic manipulation and processing on the aroma profile.

Within this mandate, the NRC wishes to purchase a portable multi sensor electronic nose for on spot and quick screening of plant materials, ingredients and processing parameters of each pulse protein. It will also help to measure their concentrations, and the effects of the interactions among them.

The work consists of supply and delivery of the system at the NRC address and training on equipment use; all of the work must be completed by March 31, 2021.
