    IMPORTANT NOTICE TO SUPPLIERS  Government of Canada is moving

    1.  TITLE: 
    First Aid Training
    
    2.  SECURITY:
    There is no security requirement associated with the requirement.
    
    3.  REQUIREMENT:
    The Department of National Defence (DND) requires St. John
    Ambulance (SJA) Emergency First Aid and Standard First Aid
    instruction for approximately 270 cadets a year.  Training is to
    take place at the Cadet Survival Camp in Cold Lake Alberta
    seasonally, over a three year period. The contract will be
    effective for a three (3) year period. Training to take place on
    a yearly basis between early July and mid August on an as and
    when required basis.
    
    4. EVALUATION AND SELECTION:  
    Mandatory technical evaluation criteria are included in Annex
    "D" of the solicitation. 
    A bid must comply with the requirements of the bid solicitation
    and meet all mandatory technical evaluation criteria to be
    declared responsive. The responsive bid with the lowest
    evaluated price will be recommended for award of a contract.
    
    5.  ESTIMATED FUNDING: 
    For planning purposes, the Department of National Defence has
    established a budget of $300,000.00 (GST/HST extra) for this
    requirement.  This is not, however, to be construed as an offer
    on the part of Canada.
    
    6. PERIOD OF CONTRACT: 
    It is anticipated that any contract will be effective for a
    period of three (3) period.
    
    7.  CODE OF CONDUCT CERTIFICATIONS 
    Pursuant to section 01 of Standard Instructions 2003, Bidders
    who are incorporated, including those bidding as a joint
    venture, must provide with their bid or promptly thereafter a
    complete list of names of all individuals who are currently
    directors of the Bidder. Bidders bidding as sole proprietorship,
    including those bidding as a joint venture, must provide with
    their bid or promptly thereafter the name of the owner. Bidders
    bidding as societies, firms, or partnerships do not need to
    provide lists of names. If the required names have not been
    received by the time the evaluation of bids is completed, Canada
    will inform the Bidder of a time frame within which to provide
    the information. Failure to comply will render the bid
    non-responsive. Providing the required names is a mandatory
    requirement for contract award.
