The proposed IDE must be able to import an existing Maven project, so that the project object model from Maven can be used directly by the IDE without the requirement for an additional step or file describing the project. The proposed IDE must be able to delegate to Maven the task of downloading the required dependencies from the corporate repository (Nexus) to the local repository without the need for a manual intervention from the developer. The proposed IDE must include a support contract, and the support provided must be quick to react to bugs and able to fix issues that are found while using the IDE. The proposed IDE must offer a low learning curve for developers transitioning from .Net/Visual Studio development. The proposed IDE must include functions to manage property files, including side by side editing of the French and English files and a function to extract a hard coded string out of a JSP to a property file. * A function is defined as an action that can be triggered from inside the IDE through clicking on a button, navigating in a menu or using a keyboard shortcut.
