Amendment 002 (2018-11-28)

This RFI Amendment 002 is issued to:

1) extend the closing date of the RFI to December 17, 2018; and
2) incorporate draft resulting contract terms for feedback.

The draft resulting contract terms attached to this Amendment 002 were developed as part of PSPC’s Contract Simplification Initiative and are provided for comment. These terms are based on the simplified terms used in the recent PSPC Artificial Intelligence procurement process (EN578-180001/A).

As part of this RFI consultation and engagement process, PSPC appreciates feedback and suggestions from industry on these terms for use in SaaS requirements as well as any improvements or additions to them.

Canada reserves the right to define the terms and conditions of any contract awarded under the proposed Supply Arrangement following industry consultations.

Amendment 001 (2018-11-14)

Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC) appreciates the industry interest and feedback received to date on this Request for Information (RFI) to establish a new GC Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) method of supply.

This RFI Amendment 001 is issued to:
1) extend the closing date of the RFI to December 3, 2018; and
2) inform industry that PSPC intends to issue a further amendment to the RFI by November 23, 2018, to incorporate draft resulting contract terms for feedback.

The resulting contract terms are being developed as part of PSPC's Contract Simplification Initiative, which aims to simplify and modernize the contracting process.

On behalf of the Government of Canada (GC), Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC) is requesting Industry input to help establish a new method of supply for Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) requirements. This new method of supply is intended to initially cover requirements with Protected B data, and in the future, may expand to cover requirements with higher and lower data classifications. This new SaaS method of supply is part of the GC Cloud Services Procurement Vehicle framework, which is envisioned to consist of various methods of supply satisfying both classified and unclassified cloud requirements. The GC Cloud Services Procurement Vehicle framework will help position the GC and public sector partners to leverage the latest digital technologies to achieve better results for Canadians.
