    PROJECT IDENTIFICATION: Project # R. 010592.002, Sir John
    Carling Building Deconstruction, Central Experimental Farm, 930
    Carling Avenue, Ottawa, Ontario.
    
    PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Deconstruction of the Sir John Carling
    Building. The West Annex will remain and a new structural wall
    will be constructed at the separation point. 
    
    Work is to be completed within thirty one hundred and thirty
    (130) weeks after contract award. The estimated cost for this
    opportunity is within the following category: $5,000,001.00 and
    above.
    
    OPTIONAL SITE VISIT:
    There will be a site visit on November 20, 2012 at 10:00 a.m..
    Interested bidders shall meet at the Sir John Carling Building,
    Central Experimental Farm, 930 Carling Avenue, Ottawa, Ontario.
    
    After the initial site visit the site will available for
    extended viewing on November 22, 2012 between the hours of 8:00
    a.m. and 4:00 p.m. All visitors will be required to sign in and
    out of the site. For reference purposes only a paper copy of the
    original construction drawings and specifications for the
    building will available at the site for viewing. A CD with a PDF
    version will be available at the site viewing for those
    requesting a copy. 
    
    It is mandatory that all persons attending the site visit(s)
    have proper safety footwear and hard hats.  Flashlights will be
    required. Bidder's personnel/individuals who do not have the
    proper safety attire will be denied access to the site.

    Enquiries are to be made in writing and should be received no

    Firms intending to submit bids on this project should obtain bid

    Amendments, when issued, will be available from MERX. Firms that
    elect to base their bids on bid documents obtained from other
    sources do so at their own risk and will be solely responsible
    to inform the bid calling authority of their intention to bid.
