    PROJECT IDENTIFICATION: 
    Cliff Central Heating and Cooling Plant, 347 Wellington Street,
    Ottawa, Ontario. Project # R.061129.001.
    
    PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
    Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC) is in the
    process of improving the reliability and efficiency of the
    existing super heated boilers. This project requires industrial
    construction and industrial commissioning. The purpose of this
    Request for Proposal is to engage 	the services of a
    Construction Manager in order to carry out the work and to
    accelerate project delivery.
    
    The industrial nature of this work requires highly specialized
    trades who are experience in high pressure steam and natural gas
    piping welding, industrial instrumentation, and high voltage
    electrical supply. 
    
    The full scope of work services is to be completed by June 30,
    2013.
    
    MANDATORY SECURITY REQUIREMENT:   
    This procurement contains a mandatory security requirement.  At
    bid closing, the Bidder must hold a valid Facility Security
    Clearance at level of SECRET. Failure to comply with this
    requirement will render the Bid non-compliant and no further
    consideration will be given to the Bid. 
    
    OPTIONAL SITE VISIT:  
    There will be a site visit on February 20, 2013 at 10:00 a.m..
    Interested bidders are to meet at the Central Heating and
    Cooling Plant, 1 Fleet Street, Ottawa, Ontario.
    
    It is mandatory that all persons attending the site visit have
    the proper the safety attire. Footwear, hard hats, glasses and
    vests are required. Individuals who do not have the proper
    safety attire will be denied access to the site.

    Amendments, when issued, will be available from MERX. Firms that

    to inform the bid calling authority of their intention to bid.
