PROJECT IDENTIFICATION:  EP731-150927/A, R.009740.506, 
Latchford Dam Replacement, located on the Montreal River, Town
of Latchford, Latchford, Ontario

Project description:    
This requirement is for the replacement of the Latchford Dam
located on the Montreal River in the Town of Latchford, Ontario.
The work consist of, but not be limited to, the following:
·	Construction of a new dam to replace the existing one; and
·	Demolition and removal of the existing dam and identified
components.

The project will require the successful Bidder to retain Quality
Verification Engineers (QVE) throughout the contract period. QVE
must be a Professional Engineer(s) licensed in the Province of
Ontario and qualified to provide the QVE services specified in
the Contract Documents. The QVE should have extensive experience
directly related to the work for which Certificate of
Conformance will be issued. Please Refer to section 01 45 00 -
Quality Control for more information.
Work is to be completed within one hundred and four (104) weeks
after contract award. The estimated cost for this opportunity is
within the following category: over $5,000,001.00.  


MANDATORY SECURITY REQUIREMENT:
  
This procurement contains a mandatory security requirement. At
bid closing, the Bidder must hold a valid Designated
Organization Screening (DOS). Failure to comply with this
requirement will render the Bid non-compliant and no further
consideration will be given to the Bid. 


OPTIONAL SITE VISIT: 
 
1.	There will be a site visit on October 7, 2014 at 10:00am.
Interested bidders are to meet at the Latchford Dam site located
on the Montreal River in the Town of Latchford, Ontario. 
2.	Safety Attire - It is mandatory that all persons attending
the site visit have the proper 		safety footwear (CSA approved
green patch). Hard hats, glasses and vests are also 		required.
Contractor personnel/individuals who do not have the proper
safety attire will 		be denied access to the site.
