Trade Agreement: Agreement on Internal Trade (AIT) Tendering Procedures: All interested suppliers may submit a bid Competitive Procurement Strategy: Lowest/Lower Bid Comprehensive Land Claim Agreement: No Nature of Requirements: ROOF REPLACEMENT, 1030 Innes Road, Ottawa EP076-173307/A Simard, Jean-Pierre Telephone No. - (819) 420-1796 PROJECT IDENTIFICATION: R.075946.001 Canadian Conservation Institute, 1030 Innes Road, Ottawa, Ontario Project description: The Canadian Conservation Institute (CCI), a Special Operating Agency within the Department of Canadian Heritage, was created in 1972 to advance and promote the conservation of Canada's heritage collections through its expertise in conservation science, treatment and preventive conservation. Initially built as a warehouse in 1974-75, the building at 1030 Innes Road is now a federal government special purpose facility for archaeological and historical artifacts and fine art restoration. Over the years, the roof has deteriorated, and the main objective of this project is to do spot repairs on the roof structure and to replace the waterproofing membrane in its entirety. Work is to be completed within 12 weeks after contract award. The estimated cost for this opportunity is within the following category: $1M to $5M. MANDATORY SECURITY REQUIREMENT: This procurement contains a mandatory security requirement. At bid closing, the Bidder must hold a valid Designated Organization Screening (DOS). Failure to comply with this requirement will render the Bid non-compliant and no further consideration will be given to the Bid. Also, the Contractor/Offerer personnel requiring access to sensitive work site(s) must each hold a Reliability Status granted or approved by CISD/PWGSC. OPTIONAL SITE VISIT: It is recommended that the Bidder or a representative of the Bidder visit the work site. Arrangements have been made for the site visit to be held at 1030 Innes Road, Ottawa on Tuesday June 13, 2017. The site visit will begin at 10:00 a.m. local time. A photo ID is required in order to have access to the building. Bidders who do not attend or do not send a representative will not be given an alternative appointment but they will not be precluded from submitting a bid. Any clarifications or changes to the bid solicitation resulting from the site visit will be included as an amendment to the bid solicitation.
