Request for Responses for Evaluation (RFRE) for the In-Service Support of the LM2500 Gas Turbine Engines on Canada’s Halifax Class Frigates.

Introduction: 

The Department of National Defence (DND) has a requirement to maintain its LM2500 gas turbine engine propulsion system on board Canada’s Halifax class frigates, inclusive of gas generator, power turbine, high speed coupling shaft, lube oil storage and conditioning assembly, enclosure assembly as well as support to the LM2500 ancillary systems. These services are required until End of Life (EOL) of the frigates currently estimated to be a minimum of 20 years.

This Request for Responses for Evaluation (RFRE) phase will qualify potential bidders who demonstrate that they have the necessary capabilities and past experience required to deliver a solution for DND’s gas turbine In-Service Support requirement.
