Nature of Requirements: 

Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC), through an existing contract, is developing a pilot treatment testing program for the effluent water at Giant Mine.  This testing program is intended to inform the future effluent treatment process planned for Giant Mine. 

This letter of interest is issued to identify candidate manufacturers that produce ion exchange media that can treat mine water to achieve the water quality objectives for the planned water treatment plant. This scope of work requires manufacturers to test their ion exchange media in an off-site laboratory, at no cost to Public Services and Procurement Canada, using water which will be supplied from the mine site.

This procurement is subject to the Tlicho Land Claims and Self-Government Agreement. 

PSPC will verify that interested participants are a valid manufacturer or manufacturer’s distributor of ion exchange media prior to sending samples.

Note: 
• If a vendor does not participate in the off-site testing, they will not be able to participate in the on-site testing study.
• By not participating in the on-site study, a vendor is not excluded from future opportunities with effluent treatment at Giant Mine beyond these studies.
• Results of the on-site study will become publicly available in the future.

Firms are requested to submit their interest no later than January 26, 2018 at 2:00pm CT.
