Trade Agreement: Canadian Free Trade Agreement (CFTA) Tendering Procedures: All interested suppliers may submit a bid Competitive Procurement Strategy: Lowest/Lower Bid Comprehensive Land Claim Agreement: No Nature of Requirements: MV Holiday Island - MES, Rescue Boat & Davit Installation T2012-210051/A Public Works and Government Services Canada, on behalf of Transport Canada, requires the installation of a two (2) Marine Evacuation Systems (MES), two (2) Rescue Boats and two (2) associated Davits onboard MV Holiday Island. This requirement is solely for the installation of the specialized equipment. The details of the work are contained in the installation specification within the Statement of Work in Annex A. Work Location: Pictou, Nova Scotia Project Dates: The work is to be carried out from 18 October 2021 to 19 November 2021. Site Viewing and Bidders Conference: There will be an optional site visit for interested Bidders. The vessel is in-service which will require Bidders to embark on the vessel for the viewing as it sails from Caribou, NS to Wood Islands, PE and return. Vendors are encouraged to review the work requirements, along with the technical data package documentation, thoroughly in order to gain a full understanding of the requirements. Arrangements have been made for the site visit to be held on board MV Holiday Island on 17 August 2021, beginning at 1300 local time at 3722 Highway 106, Caribou, Nova Scotia B0K 1H0. Bidders must communicate with the Contracting Authority no later than 13 August 2021 to confirm attendance and provide the name(s) of the person(s) who will attend. A bidders teleconference will be held with PWGSC and Transport Canada Authorities on August 19th, 2021 - 1:00PM ADT. Bidders must register with the Contracting Authority for the teleconference. Potential bidders are to contact the Contracting Authority to confirm teleconference attendance by 1:00PM ADT time Wednesday, August 18th, 2021. There is no security requirement applicable to this Contract. This requirement is subject to the provisions of the Canadian Free Trade Agreement (CFTA). Trade agreement Exemptions: The requirement is exempt from the provisions of the Comprehensive Economic Trade Agreement (CETA), as per Annex 15A, Section e, Note 1c.
