REQUIREMENT: 
Defence Research and Development Canada (DRDC) currently uses traditional manufacturing equipment and techniques, which tend to limit how complex manufactured prototypes and their parts can be. Therefore, it is DRDC’s intent to augment its current manufacturing capabilities, by introducing the Additive Manufacturing (AM) technique known as Selective Laser Sintering (SLS) - which is sometimes referred to as thermo-plastic 3D printing. By doing so, it will provide DRDC the ability to print designs with moving parts, multi-component prototypes and other parts such as electronic housings - while also reducing labour overhead.

PERIOD OF THE CONTRACT
The period of the Contract is from date of Contract to March 31, 2022 inclusive.

DELIVERY DATE
All the deliverables must be received on or before March 31, 2022.

OPTIONAL GOODS
The Contractor grants to Canada the irrevocable option to acquire the goods, services or both described at Annex “A” of the Contract under the same conditions and at the prices and/or rates stated in the Contract. 

EPOST CONNECT SERVICE: This bid solicitation allows bidders to use the epost Connect service provided by Canada Post Corporation to transmit their bid electronically. Bidders must refer to Part 2 entitled Bidder Instructions, and Part 3 entitled Bid Preparation Instructions, of the bid solicitation, for further information.

DEBRIEFINGS: Bidders may request a debriefing on the results of the bid solicitation process. Bidders should make the request to the Contracting Authority within 15 working days from receipt of the results of the bid solicitation process. The debriefing may be in writing, by telephone or in person.
