    SUPPORT CONTRACT FOR THE DEBERT CADET FLYING TRAINING CENTRE
    
    Requirement:
    
    Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC) on behalf of the Department of National Defence (DND) has a requirement for the provision of meals and accommodations required to support the Cadet Flying Training Centre (CFTC) in Debert, Nova Scotia, from the 1st of June to the 31st of August annually and support facilities on a year round basis.  
    
    Debert CFTC will train approximately forty(40) Air Cadets (ages 15-18) during the summer training period (July 1st to August 31st) and members of the Canadian Forces from the last week in May to the first week in July.  Approximately seventy (70) support and operations staff are required to run the Debert CFTC, which are comprised of senior cadets, members of the Canadian Forces and civilians.  The cadet course is six (6) weeks in duration and results in approximately one-hundred-fifteen (115) persons (staff and cadets combined) on site per day during the peak training period (second week in July to third week in August).  This estimate could be within plus or minus 10% of the total.   The Contractor must be within 25 kms of the Debert Airfield.
    
    Period of Work:
    
    The period of work shall be from April 1, 2018 up to and including March 31, 2019 with the option to extend the contract for two (2)  additional one (1) year  period.
    
    Basis of Selection: 
    
    In order to be considered responsive, a bidder shall meet all of the termsand conditions of the bid solicitation.  An inspection shall be done  by representatives of DND and PSPC to ensure all of the elements of the Statement of work are met prior to award.   The lowest priced responsive bid,  calculated to include the initial period plus the option period, shall be recommended for award of the contract.  
    
    The requirement is subject to the provisions of the Canadian Free Trade Agreement (CFTA).
    
    The requirement is subject to Canadian goods and/or services only. 
    
    The Federal Contractors Program (FCP) for employment equity applies to this procurement.
