A debriefing or feedback session will be provided upon request to bidders who bid on the previous solicitation. THIS DOCUMENT CONTAINS A SECURITY REQUIREMENT The Correctional Service of Canada (CSC) is mandated to provide an educational program appropriate to the learning needs of an adult female population within a multi-level correctional institutional environment and provide appropriate library services similar to those in the community, while meeting the needs of the correctional environment. CSC requires two full-time and one part-time Educators for academic upgrading, elementary through high school levels and a part-time Library Technician on site at Nova Institution for Women, Truro, Nova Scotia. One Educator must be bilingual. The part-time teacher will be working in the Secure Unit. The Educator(s) and the Library Technician will be working in a less than an ideal environment. The Educator(s) will be required to teach some inmates with limited commitment and a history of failure during their public school experience. It will be the individual Educator(s), who create the environment that will enable his/her inmate students to meet the educational goals identified in their Correctional Plans. The objective is to reduce risk and to assist her reintegration to society as a productive and law-abiding citizen. The period of this contract shall be from award for one (1) year with the option to extend for four (4) additional 12 month periods.
