    Title:
Design and Fabrication of a Portable Ship Position Collection
    System

    Requirement:
DRDC Atlantic will be constructing a portable underwater
magnetic check range system in support of the Halifax Class
Modernization Project. This system will be used to measure the
magnetic signature of Canadian warships when they are deployed
on operations around the world. The core component of the check
range system is a lightweight underwater array. The check range
also requires a ship position collection system so that recorded
magnetic signature data can be correlated to the distance
between the ship and the array. The purpose of this requirement
is to design and fabricate a portable ship position collection
    system.

The contractor will supply one position collection system as
well as spare system components. This requirement also includes
unfunded options to supply one additional collection system
and/or additional spare system components. To reduce project
risk and provide compatibility with existing related projects,
existing DRDC portable ship tracking technology shall be used
    for this system.

The solicitation document contains complete details on the
requirement and the bid evaluation and contractor selection
    methodology.

This PWGSC office provides procurement services to the public in
    English.
    Delivery Date: Above-mentioned
