Nature of Requirements: 

1.  Requirement - Public Services and Procurement Canada, on behalf of Parks Canada, has a requirement for cut and split firewood to supply the back country sites at Kejimkujik National Park.  The contractor is required to provide wood harvested within the prescribed Kejimkujik firewood inclusion zone to prevent invasive forest pest introduction.  The intent is to award a two year contract for the provision of 60 cords of firewood each year with one option periods of two years for the same quantity.

2.  Client Department -For Parks Canada (PC) at Kejimkujik National Park, Nova Scotia

3.  Period of contract - The period of any resulting Contract will be for a period of two (2) years (estimated commencement date May 1, 2016), with Canada retainingan irrevocable option to extend the contract for one additional period of two (2) years.

4.  Site Visit - All parties tendering should examine the site of the proposed work prior to submitting their tenders and become thoroughly acquainted with same,and obtain any and all information that may be necessary to properly execute the Contract.

5.  Basis of selection - A bid must comply with all requirements of the bid solicitation to be declared responsive. The responsive bid with the lowest evaluated price will be recommended for award of a contract.
