Nature of Requirements: 

The requirement includes:
1. The rental and installation of a horizontal storage tank (3,000 - 3,406 litres) belonging to the contractor, for the storage of the liquid nitrogen required to supply the Ottawa Research and Development Centre, located at the KW Neatby Building, 960 Carling Avenue, Ottawa, ON. The tank will be installed on a pre-existing 2.44 m by 4.88 m (8 ft x 16 ft) concrete pad. The Contractor will provide and install fittings, adapters and accessories required for the storage tank to be fully operational and be connected to the distribution system of the building, at no additional cost to Canada. It will be the technical and financial responsibility of the contractor to remove and dispose the storage tank when the contract expires or is terminated.  

2. The supply and delivery of bulk liquid nitrogen (Standard grade) at the Ottawa Research and Development Centre, located at the KW Neatby Building, 960 Carling Avenue, Ottawa, ON. The contractor will monitor the storage conditions and ensure there is no interruption in the supply of liquid nitrogen at the Ottawa Research and Development Centre by means of regular visits to the site AND/OR with a telemetry system.

The resulting contract will cover a period of five (5) years.

The Crown retains the right to negotiate with suppliers on any procurement.
