Nature of Requirements: 

This request for standing offers, designed to facilitate the purchase and installation of frequently purchased audio-visual equipment (consumer and industrial), is restricted to Aboriginal businesses. Regional Master Standing Offers will be issued to qualified Offerors in each o
f 6 regions individually (Atlantic, Quebec, NCR, Ontario, Western and Pacific).

The Audio Visual equipment available on these Standing Offers will be divided into the following 7 main Audio Visual equipment categories: Audio products, Video products, Audio/Video Processing Equipment, Display Devices, Projectors, Control Equipment and Other Equipment. Each c
ategory will further be divided into specific sub-categories. 
Two useful tools each found on the acquisition branch web site will be available to Designated Users. The first one is a spreadsheet for quickly filtering SO ranking results by region, manufacturer or equipment sub-category. The second tool provides MSRP pricing for allowable products by manufacturer.

Any authorized representative of a Canadian government departments or Crown Corporation or an agency located across Canada, as these are defined in the Financial Administration Act, is permitted to utilize the standi
ng offers;

The period for making call-ups against the Standing Offer is a period 
of twelve (12) months from issuance of the Standing Offer and will include one (1) built-in 12 month extension option;

Offerors may offer in one or all of the six (6) regions identified above. There isno "National Designation". To be considered responsive in each region, offerors must offer individually. Responsive Offerors who offer one of the 3 highest percentage discounts per manufacturer, in at 
least six (6) different equipment sub-categories covering a minimum of four (4) different main equipment categories will be recommended for issue of a Standing Offer. More than one Standing Offer may be issued to o
ne or more regions.

The Set-Aside Program for Aboriginal Business will be advertised as 
part of this requirement. A separate solicitation and NPP will be 
issued limited only to aboriginal suppliers.

The Crown retains the right to negotiate with suppliers on any procurement.
