If no other supplier submits, on or before the closing date, a Statement of Capabilities that meets the requirements set outin the ACAN, the contracting authority may then proceed with the award. Requirement Procurement of one (1) servomotor and its associated drive for the National Research Council to be delivered to Ottawa, ON by August 2016. This requirement includes the option for the purchase of additional devices (up to 4 additional units). Statement of Requirements GENERAL: This procurement requires the supplier to have the capability to provide all items listed. The Servo Motor is a key element of a specifically designed wind tunnel and therefore any equivalent product offered must be identical in form, fit and function. Technical Requirements 1. Servo Motor: RCV AC brushless servo motor, model # UL10F13.30-6 RiWKUX Motor Specifications: -AC Brushless servo - 3000 RPM - 460 VAC - Continuously running 115 VAC cooling fan - Continuous Torque = 160 Nm (100C), 129 Nm (65C) - 2.06 Nm/Arms - Keyed shaft - Rotor balanced to G1 standard - KTY Thermal sensor - Mounting feet - Shaft sealtoIP65 Electrical Connections - Terminal box cannot be used due to physical limitations of motor sizing (see below) - Wire glands must be used to replace motor power, the resolver and cooling fan connections - Integrated cables for motor power, resolver and fan, must be shielded with a length of 3 meters. *******Motor must fit within the following envelope:********** - Maximum length = 605 mm from front mounting face - Width & Height maximum = 225 mm square - Above measurements includes the115VAC cooling fan, mounted on rear face of motor, configured for continuous operation - Cable glands location, for motor power, ground, resolver and cooling fan power cabling, must exit top of motor at a point that falls between 200 mm to 470 mm from the front mounting face of motor 2. Configuration / Programming Software 3.1. TDE Explorer Series PC Drive Configuration Software a. Windows based b. Motor and controller parameter and variables configuration with ability to save, upload &download system configurations c. Diagnostic tools for troubleshooting, setup, tuning and monitoring of controller and motor parameters d. Controller I/O management capability 4. Communication Port Adapter 4.1. P/N CA-TDE-RS232-485, RS 232 to 485 adapter and cable assembly. Required for interface between servo controller and PC for use with configuration software. 5. Test Panel Interface 5.1. P/N 10790PDT, Test Panel interface for the OPD EXP servo controller with I/O and STO (Safe TorqueOff) cabling.Provides easy interfacing of I/O points and safety interlocks (STO) of the servo controller during initial bench testing and commissioning of the drive system. ************************** General Notes: Applicable Trade Agreements andObligations This requirement is subject to the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA); the Canada-Columbia Free Trade Agreement (CCFTA), the Canada-Peru Free Trade Agreement (CPFTA), the Canada-Panama Free Trade Agreement (CPFTA) and the Agreementon Internal Trade (AIT). Regulations Respecting Government Contracts SOR/87-402 (6.d) and Supply Manual (SM 3.15 (b) iv)), only one supplier (person or firm) is capable of performing the contract. Limited Tendering (SM 3.25.b.iii), a process that allowsfor deviations from the above procurement practices. In situations, where a specific limited tendering justification can be applied, limiting the number of suppliers, to one or more suppliers, is allowed. While limited tendering is often used for sole source procurements, it can also be used in competitive procurements. Estimated Cost: $33,267.82 + tax.
