    Question: 3.4.1 (c) Descending slopes of at least 37 percent
    with a full load and 40 percent without load. Is that down a
    slope of at least 25 percent charged and 50 percent no load can
    be accepted?
    
    Answer: No,  The para 3.4.1 (c ) - Vehicle Performance of the
    vehicle to descend a slope of at least 37 percent charged and 40
    percent no load remains unchanged.

    2. Questions and Answers
    
    Question: Ref: Section 3.3.4; The tender request states a UL-558
    "DS" Type rating for the equipment. Our equipment would have the
    following equivalent rating of Pyroban Gascheka system which is
    certified by FM to Class 1 Division 2. Can this be adapted and
    accepted?
    
    Answer: Yes - UL equivalent FM Certification will be acceptable.

    Question:Ref: Section 3.4.1 (a); Forward speeds of at least 20
    km/hr. (12mph).
    Our equipment can travel at a maximum drive speed of 18 km/hr.
    (11 mph), can this be adapted?
    
    Answer: Yes - a forward speed of 18km/hr will be acceptable. 
    Section 3.4.1(a), page 8 of the Purchase Description should be
    amended to read: " Forward speeds of at least 18 km/hr (11 mph)".

    Question: Ref: Section 3.9.1; All-wheel drive system "shall"
    provide 4 x 4 capability by delivering power equally to all
    wheels.
    Our equipment is a 3-wheel truck, designed to deliver full-time
    all-wheel drive capability to all (3) wheels, can this be
    adapted?
    
    Answer: No - a 3-wheel vehicle will not be acceptable for this
    requirement.

    Question: You mention a Fork Levelling System - is it acceptable
    to have a carriage fork levelling system? 
    
    Answer: Yes, 
    
    As per Para 3.5.2 (b)   It is required that the levelling system
    make the forklift apable of entering into and lifting pallets
    that are on a slope of 12 percent to either side; A carriage
    fork levelling which achieve this requirement is acceptable.

    The Department of National Defence has a requirement to purchase
    ten (10) Forklift Trucks, 4X4 Rough Terrain, Diesel Engine
    Driven, Sit Down Riders and ancillary items, including
    familiarization instruction/training, in accordance with the
    Purchase Description Forklift Trucks, 4X4 Rough Terrain, Diesel
    Engine Driven, Sit Down Rider dated 2013-04-11, and as described
    at Annex A - Pricing. 
    
    The requirement includes an option to purchase up to ten (10)
    Forklift Trucks, 4X4 Rough Terrain, Diesel Engine Driven, Sit
    Down Riders and ancillary items to be exercised within twelve
    (12) months from the effective date of the contract.
    
    
    Debriefings
    After contract award, bidders may request a debriefing on the
    results of the bid solicitation. Bidders should make the request
    to the Contracting Authority within fifteen (15) working days of
    receipt of notification that their bid was unsuccessful. The
    debriefing may be provided in writing, by telephone or in person.
