The delivery is requested at: HMC Dockyard Halifax (Nova Scotia) and CFB Esquimalt (British Colombia) by September 2014. The requirement includes an option to purchase up to twenty-four (24) roll Reduced Recoil Rope to be exercised within twenty-four (24) months from the effective date of the contract. _________________________________ AMENDMENT 001 1) This amendment is raised to extend the bid closing date as follows: Page 1 Solicitation Closes Delete: 2014-08-12 Insert: 2014-08-19 2) This amendment is raised to provide questions and answers to potential bidders as follows: Question: Is Samson product 862 (34mm) an acceptable alternate? The current solicitation asks for 41mm rope but with a minimum breaking strength of 499 kilo newtons. The Samson product #862 shows that 41mm is approx 680 kilo newtons where as the 34mm is a much closer match at 492 kilo newtons. What is the most important criteria to meet the diameter of the line or the breaking strength? Answer: 34 mm 492 kn is acceptable. The breaking strength is most important. All other terms and conditions remain the same. Debriefings Bidders may request a debriefing on the results of the bid solicitation. Bidders should make the request to the Contracting Authority within fifteen (15) working days of receipt of notification that their bid was unsuccessful. The debriefing may be provided in writing, by telephone or in person. Delivery Date: Above-mentioned The Crown retains the right to negotiate with suppliers on any procurement.
