    Delete: 2014-08-12
    Insert: 2014-08-19

    2) This amendment is raised to provide questions and answers to
    potential bidders as follows:

Question: Is Samson product 862 (34mm) an acceptable alternate?
The current solicitation asks for 41mm rope but with a minimum
breaking strength of 499 kilo newtons.

The Samson product #862 shows that 41mm is approx 680 kilo
newtons where as the 34mm is a much closer match at 492 kilo
newtons. What is the most important criteria to meet the
diameter of the line or the breaking strength?
Answer: 34 mm 492 kn is acceptable. The breaking strength is
    most important.

All other terms and conditions remain the same.
