    This amendment is raised to publish questions and answers.
    Q4 : Do all manuals (operator, parts, services, chart) have to be in French, or is it just the operator manual? 
    A4 : The operator manual and the maintenance manual(s) must be supplied in both French and English (clause 4.1.2).  The capacity charts must be provided in both French and English and show both imperial and metric units (clause 3.5 m).
    Q5 : Are configurations A and B the same, because I did not see additional specifications for configuration B.
    A5 : Configurations A and B have the same characteristics described at Table 1.4 and it is preferable that they be the same make and model.  The difference between the two configurations is described at Table 1.4.1.  In simple terms, on delivery:
    Configuration A
    - must be assembled for use at destination (if necessary) (clause 3.22);
    - must be provided with lubricants and hydraulic fluids for the destination and season of delivery (clause 3.18 c).
    Configuration B
    - must be prepared for transport in a CC-177 aircraft (if preparation is necessary) (clause 3.21);
    - must be provided with post-transport re-assembly instructions (if necessary) (clause 3.21); and
    - must be provided with severe cold weather lubricants and hydraulic fluids (article 3.18 d).

    Q: With regards to the Request for Proposal W8476-175503, can you please supply larger/clearer plane dimensionally draws (Figure 1, Page 13 of 20 and Figure 2, Page 14 of 20) covering item 3.21 CC-177 Air Transportability as the drawing provided are unclear and maybe misread.
    A: The following drawings represent the clearest versions available.

    Q: In regards to the Request for Proposal W8476-175503, what size of crane are you looking for and/or what additional equipment may be required such as Jibs or hookblocks?
    A: Due to the variety of products on the market, Canada does not intend to specify the crane size,however, Annex B (and its Data Table at Paragraph 1.4)specifies the performance that the crane and its accessories must meet.  The vehicle must also include all components, equipment and accessories normally supplied for thisapplication or that are essential in meeting the performance specified.

    This amendment is raised to rectify the language of the documents attached with the Request for Proposal.

    The Department of National Defence has a requirement to purchase four (4) rough terrain cranes (configuration A and B) and ancillary items, including familiarization instruction/training in accordance with Purchase Description for Cranes,Rough Terrain,dated 2016-08-29, to be delivered to CFB COLD LAKE, Alberta, CFB TRENTON, Ontario, CFB BAGOTVILLE, Quebec by March 31st, 2017.
    
    The requirement also includes an option to purchase up to three (3)  additional vehicles Config A and ancillary items to be exercised within twelve (12) months from the effective date of the contract .
    
    The requirement also includes an option to purchase up to one (1)  additional vehicle Config B and ancillary items to be exercised within twelve (12) months from the effective date of the contract .
    
    Debriefings
    Bidders may request a debriefing on the results of the bid solicitation process. Bidders should make the request to the Contracting Authority within fifteen (15) working days from receipt of the results of the bid solicitation process. The debriefing may be provided in writing, by telephone or in person.
