For the provision of various size Paint Filters for the Department of National Defence, Aerospace and Telecommunication Engineering Support Squadrons Refinishing Shops, CFB Trenton, Astra, Ontario.


The refinishing shop has two paint booths large enough to accommodate the painting 1 x CF-18 aircraft each, and two small paint booths used to paint smaller sized projects. As painting is done, there is a system that provides clean air free of contaminants into the paint booth, and pulls toxic airborne paint particles towards the filters in order to keep them from escaping to the outside environment. The filters also protect the fan system from overspray which could result in extensive and costly repairs. As painting is done on a daily basis these filters eventually become clogged, no longer providing the protection that is required, and need to be replaced on a regular basis.At this time due to the large amount of work being done to meet current project demands, all filters and spares are going to be exhausted in the next month or two, which will cause a delay in our product output. The intent of this requirement is to procure enough product to replace the filters in all four paint booths, with an additional set of filters to be put in storage as spares, so that operations are no longer affected.
