IMPORTANT NOTICE TO SUPPLIERS RE. BID SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS

Due to the impacts from the COVID-19 pandemic, temporary measures are being taken on-site at the Ontario Region Bid Receiving Unit to encourage social distancing. The health and safety of staff and suppliers remains our top priority. 

Suppliers are required to submit offers electronically using the Canada Post epost Connect application for the subject bid solicitation. This service allows suppliers to submit bids, offers and arrangements electronically to PWGSC Bid Receiving Units. This online service enables the electronic transfer of large files up to Protected B level.

Faxed and hard copy (submitted in person or via mail/courier) bids will not be accepted for the subject bid solicitation.

IMPORTANT: This tender is part of Public Works and Government Services Canada’s initiative to submit bid submission files electronically using epost Connect. For the rental of 5 Ton Cargo Trucks, 5 Ton Cargo Trucks with hydraulic gate, 5 Ton Reefers, Highway Tractors with Day Cab, Highway Tractors with Sleeper Cab, 53 Foot Van Trailers, 53 Foot Refrigeration and 3 Ton Multistop Cubevan with Hydraulic Gate Trailers, excluding driver, for Federal Government Departments and Agencies within Ontario Region, at various locations, on an "as and when requested" basis, from date of issuance to 31 August 2023.

 It is the intention of the Crown to issue a Standing Offer to each responsive Offeror.
1.2.1.1 Although this RMSO is available to all federal departments it is anticipated that the main user will be the Department of National Defence (DND) and Correctional Service of Canada:  
1.      Eastern Ontario excluding the National Capital Region
2. Central Ontario
3. South Western
4. Northern

The Crown retains the right to negotiate with suppliers on any procurement.
