Nature of Requirement:

The purpose of the RFSA is to issue Supply Arrangement for specialized trailer services on behalf of Government Departments, Agencies and Crown Corporations, as listed in Schedules I, I.1, II and III of the Financial Administration Act, R.S.C. 1985, c. F-11, on an “as and when requested” basis.

The requirement is to provide transportation services of freight from one city to another throughout Canada and the United States, including locations within Comprehensive Land Claim Settlement Areas.  

These services for example may include but are not limited to flatbed trailers, step deck trailers, and removable gooseneck trailers.  The services will be provided in accordance to the Statement of Work (SOW) in Annex A. 

This RFSA excludes transportation brokers.

Period of Supply Arrangement:

The period for awarding contracts under the Supply Arrangement is from the date of issuing the supply arrangement to October 25th, 2018 with the option to extend for two (2) additional one (1) year periods, under the same terms and conditions.

Security Requirements:

If the offeror does not wish to offer services to transport classified material, there will be no associated security requirement.  If the offeror wishes to transport freight with a security requirement then an associated security requirement will be known at time of Request for Proposal.

The Crown retains the right to negotiate with suppliers on any procurement.

Documents may be submitted in either official language of Canada.
