Trade Agreement: Canadian Free Trade Agreement (CFTA) Tendering Procedures: The bidder must supply Canadian goods and/or services Competitive Procurement Strategy: Best Overall Proposal Comprehensive Land Claim Agreement: No Nature of Requirements: Helicopter Recovery Service - Timmins 9F064-170974/A Jiang, Kevin Telephone No. - (819) 420-2975 In summer of 2018 the Canadian Space Agency (CSA) will launch stratospheric balloons out of home base Timmins, Ontario. Each balloon with scientific equipment on board will fly up to 24 hours and then land on ground. The balloon and its components need to be retrieved and transported to home base for scientific research. CSA requires one single-engine, light-category helicopter with necessary equipment, one pilot and one aircraft maintenance engineer to provide recovery services on an "as and when requested" basis. The helicopter and its crew will be required to station in Timmins during the period in field. The potential recovery areas are defined by a 550km radius circle around Timmins, Ontario. The period of the Contract is from date of award to March 31, 2019 inclusive. The Contractor grants to Canada the irrevocable option to extend the term of the Contract by up to two (2) additional one-year periods under the same conditions. Delivery Date: Above-mentioned The Crown retains the right to negotiate with suppliers on any procurement. Documents may be submitted in either official language of Canada.
