Trade Agreement: NONE Tendering Procedures: All interested suppliers may submit a bid Competitive Procurement Strategy: Comprehensive Land Claim Agreement: No Nature of Requirements: 400 Series Barge Replacement W8472-175662/A Langdon, Jeremy Telephone No. - (819) 420-2890 Request for Information (RFI) -This request is not a solicitation and there are no commitments with respect to future purchases or contracts.- Stevedore Barge Replacement The Department of National Defence (DND) has a requirement to replace 6 retired wooden stevedore barges with 4 new steel barges. The replacement barges are to operate from Canadian Forces Base Esquimalt under the Port Operations andEmergency Service Branch (POESB). The primary intent of this RFI is to determine whether a Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS)* solution, which complies with the requirements outlined in Annex A, exists. Should potential suppliers have a candidate barge which is not COTS, but would meet the requirements outlined in Annex A with reasonable design changes, they are requested to submit a response with their candidate vessel and identify the modifications to be made. As indicated in Annex A, potential suppliers are requested to provide pricing and timeline details for the build, delivery and provision of spares for the barges. Potential suppliers are also requested to answer the general questions outlined in Annex A and also provide any relevant feedbackor information concerning the barges which they feel might be of use to DND. *For the purpose of this RFI, COTS refers to a vessel which was constructed by the potential supplier, is currently in operation, and meets the requirements set out in AnnexA without modifications. Delivery Date: Above-mentioned The Crown retains the right to negotiate with suppliers on any procurement. Documents may be submitted in either official language of Canada.
